You know, bacon and sausage come from the exact same place, right? If you eat sausage but not bacon then you're just being silly

I do not eat meat in any form now, but I do remember that in the UK there were to types of sausage, pork and beef, pork is from the pig and beef is from the cow and they did taste different, but there was a choice.

We don't just have pork or beef sausages, if you look you will also see things like venison sausages. The beef sausages don't usually have herbs and stuff added, however, pork sausages can be just plain ol pork orrrrrrrrrrrrrr they can be pork and apple, cumberland, lincolnshire etc etc etc and yes of course beef sausages taste different to pork. That's like comparing a roast beef and a roast pork...totally different animals and therefore a different change of taste.

Venison is deer meat which should be more expensive? but I am sure that anyone who buys it will not need anything added to it, pork is the cheapest form of meat around and I did read at one time they enjoy humans as a main course and they will eat anything given to them, other animals do have their limits as to what they eat. We must not forget that black puddings are made out of pigs blood.

Yes, it has been known for certain pig farmers to feed them humans (this is only a mafia thing), the only thing they don't digest are the nails and teeth....everything else is fair game. You also need to starve said pigs for a while before they will consume a human and not in one piece. So there is still some butchery to be done, I wouldn't hold the pigs responsible, this is down to the mafia.

Next, what animals eat? I'm guessing you've not been around farms much have you, you know the real farms that are completely above board, well I've been to quite a few and trust me, they get fed what they are supposed to be fed...not just any crap. Pigs love truffles and apples. Its like people think pigs are dirty but in fact they are one of the cleanest animals on the planet, its humans that make them walk around in mud all day.

Black pudding? Yes I know what it's made with

I do not have any knowledge about farming, but what I have seen in the past was free range hens and cows out in the fields until they were taken in for milking and pigs were kept in styes , things of the past, now they are all part of a production line , hens first give eggs and the killed for their meat when the eggs stop, cows give milk and then killed for their meat, what do pigs give ? nothing until they are killed for their carcass when I think all parts of the body are used for human consumption?so I do not think that pigs can be part of a production line, so must be left in a pen which may be difficult to keep clean after they have been eating truffles all day.

I don't know what you've been watching, to give you this type of opinion but it would be great if you watched some more modern type farming programmes....for example
Code:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10541088/
, which has a little humour in it because he's a bungling buffoon and it also shows you the real world costs and issues farmers have to deal with all the time. When we die...we either get eaten by a furnace or bugs...oh and we are also kept in small spaces, not always clean thanks to people and dustbin lorries that don't catch everything. A great deal of the pig is actually used up.....so ear, snout and feet usually go to making dog treats, humans eat liver, chops, bacon, hocks, brain and I'm sure eyes etc are used for something too

Pigs trotters (feet) are eaten by humans and farmers do have a difficult time depending on the weather which is unpredictable, so having the hens and animals indoors in buildings about 100 mt long where hens live? with a light continuously burning so they eat more and lay more eggs and get fatter and earn more money and the same goes for cows their conditions are automated , milk maids with buckets are things of the past, as for sheep, they are still left to walk around the village green or moors, pigs are still in their pens producing a lot of little piglets,

You're talking about battery hens etc.....we don't have many of those left because of the laws....if any left at all. I always eat free range which means its never locked up like you are describing. When you don't have experience and knowledge of the farming in another country, it is always either good to go away a do some research or hush up and just ask questions rather than throw out your opinion like its fact ;)

All the farms around here are all free range, the sheep, the cows, the chickens, goats....all of them have fields and fields to munch on. When I was a child I used to go to my local farm most weekends and we would be doing alsorts, from shooting rats to feeding the cows to having a cube or two of unpasteurised milk. We helped in the milking shed etc etc All free range, even back then in the 70s. I drive passed farms all the time...all free range no battery hens, no pigs stuck in a pen etc and the farmers move them between fields because the fields get fertilised by the animals. Most farms still practice field rotation on crops or plant crops that will not extract all the goodness.

Mmmmmm..... bacon....:band:

I was born in a farming community (in the UK) , a small market town with farms and forests all around it and they used to use horses to pull the plows, threshing machines used to come to thresh the corn, I know what it was and I know what it is going to be, farmers find it difficult as they have so many expenses to cover for a small area. Pig farms are in as every one is cheap to run and more money to be made as more people eat the products, hamburgers ?

Then you should know better....battery hens should be gone. "A hamburger, or simply burger, is a food consisting of fillings—usually a patty of ground meat, typically beef" - not pork, despite the name begins with HAM which actually is about pork not beef. Our farming is far stricter than say the US in terms of hygiene...for example bleached chicken. Almost all of the cattle and sheep are pumped full of roids and anti biotics, which gets passed down to the humans through consumption, leading to an issue with finding anti biotics that work on a person. This is unacceptable practice and the FDA have done nothing about any of it (last I heard).

You are describing a time so much earlier than the 70s and since then farming has evolved a damn sight more than you "recollect" of what it was like back then. If you want to blame anyone for this mess....blame yourself, just like everyone else should do. Humans are outgrowing the resources causing companies to cut as many corners as they possibly can and then swear the peg is still square.
