Five Word Story Game

The object of this game is for each poster to add to the story with only five words. For example, I would start the thread with:

Yesterday the neighbors had barbequed

The next poster would add five words (and only five words) to the story, for example:

alien they captured on Mars

And each successive poster would add five words, taking the story in strange and weird directions.

The only rule is that you may not enclose multiple words in brackets or quotes and pretend they are one word. Hyphenated words count as TWO words.
