Photo of the 1934 Lima built 4-6-2 Pacific for the Boston & Maine. Specs - P-4 class, massive 80" drivers, impressive 260 psi boiler pressure, 23x28" cylinders, engine weight of 339,200 lb, tractive effort of 40198 lb. The class was retired in 1953-1954. Date: 6/1/1950

This 4-8-2 "Mountain"-type locomotive stands next to a watering stand pipe in an unknown yard. This 1920 Baldwin built locomotive had tall 69" drivers, produced a boiler pressure of 200 psi, and generated a respectable 54,085 lb tractive effort. After 30+ years of mostly passenger service, the class was scrapped between 1950-55. Photo date: 6/1/1930
