Are Private Tracker Torrent sites worth it?

Seen a few Invite Only sites, anyone a member of any?, Are they worth it?

Was looking into TvChaosUK, I can get a login for it (as they don't do invites anymore) but its expensive for what it is, Saying that i don't actually know the content they have but heard they specialize in UK content and there is lots of it.

Thoughts on private torrents?

I use it for the convenience, with torrents you can download at re-upload to filesharing sites, Torrents obviously die too but DLL's get taken down quite swiftly.
If you wanted to share content via DLL, you'd need to have the content at hand if you weren't getting it from anywhere else other than another DLL, Whereas with torrents you can get what you need a lot easier i find. I'm always wary about what i torrent, never download programs etc, there is risk to every type of download IMO, probably more so with torrents but i think without them it'd be a lot harder to provide content by just relying on people uploading them to filesharing sites, given that they'd have to own that content first, stuff like ripping DVD'S and encoding takes ages.

Your ISP will flag you to start. Then what happens from there your guess is as good as mine. Better is to just stay away from torrents. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

I do use a VPN all the time, I'm not saying its not possible to get caught, it's always a risk but there are so many that torrent, stream PPV, Footy. Its just hard to catch everyone. Its the select few that get unlucky. I do use RealDebrid also, Not directly downloading from a torrent client. If that makes any difference, because i'd of thought that would work in a similar way to direct downloads, as RD is technically turning it into a DLL for me.

So do you believe Real Debrid to be as safe as downloading from a filehosting site, And when i say safe. I'm not implying everything is all Roses in the first place lol.

Very much yes, I frequent alpharatio, pixelcove and torrentleech. I am a member on more but I actively babysit my ration on those 3. Best thing is no hit and runs.

If you looking for games and software most of the good stuff is posted to softarchive which in turn are reposted here by our uploaders.
Gnu/Linux games are the main reason I frequent private trackers, the personally I post to 1337x

Its hard to get invites for certain sites, being it invite only is a shambles unless you know someone, And people won't throw invites out willy nilly to randoms anyway because it can bite them in the backside if they decide not to follow rules etc. I'm trying to get access to adit-hd or something similar but no luck. Only thing i could find was TVChaos UK and a different one, but the guy wants 120 euros just for TvChaos account.

Yes and a couple of them have been done for that exact reason, however, it still highlights what you might or might not be doing. I'm sure there are still people out there anonymously uploading content in the hope of catching people. I know one of my friends was warned by ISP to CnD or they will be fined and cut off.

Once upon a time you could get banned for even saying Torrent on this site.

This is how seriously dumb an idea we thought it was to use them. In fact, the prevailing thought at the time was anyone stupid enough to use Torrents was a threat to the site and it's members.

Well i see that the vast majority don't use them, I do see them being a lot more riskier than other methods of downloading but i don't see them as being as risky as most people think, If you're using a VPN its down to the VPN provider to rat you out to the goverment. I don't use any UK VPN's, mine is based in Estonia, not to say that makes me invincible but i try to take steps to prevent being caught as does everyone.
