I like it a lot, & the others have been put on ice. it's like firefox use to be (fast) but with more options.

Same as chrome, uses chromium as its base, with some extra junk in between. Advertises itself as a private friendly option but actually just as bad as chrome
Testing the telemetry has been reduced and seems to mainly be plugins with the issue. Telemetry not as bad as it was only seemingly :
Just general Telemetry and fetching of affiliates like chrome and edge do so nothing unordinary, but not privacy focused that's for sure

@Bluey_Zarsoff As alternatives perhaps try Waterfox instead which is a free open-source web browser and a fork of Firefox. There is also, Librewolf which does not include telemetry and has uBlock Origin pre-installed.

I use it to read The Age in Melb without a subscription ( blocking Javascript) . As it cleans cookies after each session, you won't run out of free articles. It's a quick browser.
Yes it has a lot of chrome but it's set out more like Firefox (which I know) & you can tone it down to your liking, it powers on my PC. Takes firefox about 10 to 20 seconds to even load my home page unless I already have Tab open. Copy & paste is a bit of a hit & miss these days with firefox too, Brave has grabbed & stuck everything,, so far anyway.
But I will definitely try WaterFox, I have already tried Librewolf & didn't like it .

I've started using it and like the speed. Going to give it a try for a bit and see if I will ultimately make the switch over from Chrome to Brave, full time.
I use Chrome 99% of the time, but I occasionally use Brave on my PC and Android phone because it does help a TON with sites that have serious pop-ups or "click redirection", where clicking anywhere on the page brings you to an advertisement.
Supposedly (correct me if I'm wrong) Brave does replace some site ads with it's own ads which is maybe hypocritical in a way, but the browser benefits me sometimes so I won't judge

My issue with Waterfox is it was acquired by System1. And Compared to Librewolf it was not nearly as hardened, but again that's boarding on the tinfoil hat side of privacy. Though here is some research conducted on it for connections made a year or 2 back. While not nearly as insane as Brave/ Chrome/ Edge it is still not "Privacy Friendly". Not a concern for most folk but considering that is the browser's "Selling Point" I though its just worth mentioning.

I just use it because it's easy, faster and doesn't seem to sponge as much crap as the other three biggies do.
But, Yes it still does have frustrating quirks like the others, hopefully one of the genius coders out there takes the Brave platform & removes the nonsense & tweaks it to perfection

I do enjoy the Brave Browser. It's not perfect, but it's better than most. Really, the only three browsers worth using are Brave, Librewolf, and Tor. Brave or Librewolf is dependent on what core browser engine you prefer. Tor is just good for if you really want privacy with a sacrifice on speed, but that's definitely a downside you can take.
I have to go w/ MilanoCookie. I've been using it for quite some time now - I've even bought some of their token. It is good and safe... most sites work perfectly with it and on mobile/tablet it even allows you to play m.youtube.com in the background (at least for some time, then you have to switch to the tab to make it 'active').
They are doing quite a good job. I'm only a bit annoyed by the fact that their coin isn't going up - I was hoping to make easy $$$.

never used it before what are the benefits? I am so used to using Chrome that I never even thinked of switching but I'm open to try out new browser if they are better.
It has a really good ad blocker and keeps your privacy very well. It allows you - if you decide you like this idea - to earn some bucks seeing ads from them. I don't use this feature (i.e. I opted out), but it's there for people who want it.
Sometimes it's a bit too restrictive and you might have some websites not working perfectly, but you can always disable shields and make it work.
With this (ad-)blocking, you get a much faster browser which uses less data (although this part is not that important nowadays).
