A Difficult Goodbye… Maybe
I honestly never thought I would have to write a post like this. There is a very good chance that I may no longer be able to continue maintaining FluxMovie or being active here on the forum.
The economic situation in Iran has become extremely difficult for me. I have reached a point where I simply cannot afford to keep paying for the servers and all the other costs involved in keeping the site running. I have never made any real income from the site, and everything I've done over the years has been because I genuinely loved this project and wanted to keep it alive.
I've managed to keep going this far despite how difficult things have become, but unfortunately, I may have reached my limit.
I also know that I cannot realistically compete with sites that have automated systems and auto-posters constantly adding content. I've always done everything myself, manually. I built the site myself, maintained it myself, added the content, worked on the code and design, and kept everything running as best as I could.
And honestly… this hurts.
I built FluxMovie from the ground up. Every part of it represents countless hours of work, time, learning, frustration, and love. It isn't just a website to me. It's something I created with my own hands and kept alive through some incredibly difficult circumstances.
That's why the thought of losing it is so painful.
I've put so much into this project, and I really wanted to see how far I could take it. But sometimes, no matter how much you want something, you eventually reach a point where you simply can't fight the circumstances anymore.
I also want to sincerely apologize to everyone here.
And I especially want to thank the forum administrators and staff, as well as every single member who checked on me and asked if I was okay during the difficult times I've been going through in Iran.
When the internet was cut off and I disappeared for months, some of you actually noticed and reached out. Some of you asked where I was, whether I was safe, and what had happened to me.
I was away for three or four months at one point, and even during those long periods of absence, people here still remembered me and checked in on me.
I honestly cannot put into words how much that meant to me.
I'm sorry for disappearing, for being inactive at times, for not being able to keep up with everything, and for making some of you wonder whether I was okay.
It was never because I stopped caring about this community or FluxMovie.
Quite the opposite.
The support and kindness I received from people here are a big part of the reason I was able to keep going this long.
You supported me during some of the hardest periods of my life, even though you didn't have to. You gave me encouragement, patience, and friendship when I really needed it.
For that, I will always be grateful.
And to the forum staff: thank you for being so understanding and supportive throughout all of this. I know my situation hasn't always been easy to understand from the outside, but you still gave me the time and space I needed.
I genuinely appreciate everything you've done for me.
For now, I still haven't made my final decision.
There is still a chance that I might find a way to keep FluxMovie running, at least for a little longer. Maybe I'll find a solution, maybe I'll somehow manage to keep going. I honestly don't know yet.
I'm just very sad about all of this.
Part of me doesn't want to let it go at all, while another part of me knows that I have to be realistic about what I can actually afford.
I genuinely don't know what I'm going to do yet.
If I eventually decide that I can no longer continue, I would be willing to transfer the entire project to someone who genuinely wants to continue it — including the website, its code, and the server setup. I would much rather see FluxMovie continue to live and grow than simply watch everything disappear.
If anyone is seriously interested, they can contact me privately and we can talk about it.
But for now, I'm still thinking.
I'm not ready to say goodbye just yet.
I just wanted to be honest with all of you about what I'm going through right now.
Whatever happens, I want to thank everyone who has supported me, FluxMovie, and the work I've put into it.
To the admins, the staff, and every member who supported me, checked on me, encouraged me, or simply remembered me during those difficult months — thank you.
You helped me get this far.
And if the day eventually comes when I really have to say goodbye, please know that I didn't give up easily. I fought to keep it alive for as long as I possibly could.
Thank you to everyone who visited the site, supported me, left kind words, wrote reviews, helped me, or simply enjoyed what I built.
And thank you to this community for giving me a place to share my work and be part of something.
I never expected this project to become such a big part of my life.
I really hope this isn't goodbye yet.
But whatever happens… thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
