Hey all, how is everyone doing ??

I was thinking to start my personal garden to learn how to grow veggies, create useful content for my girl's personal blog, occupy ourselves with something useful and calm.

and because I am a little geek, I want to keep everything I am growing in a Windows app on my desktop for better management. The garden itself is small so for a newbie like me it will be a perfect start!!

Here are some images of the current situation.

I haven't yet measured it, but I will. Already have a small fence to create, also a scarecrow will be awesome!

Plus I will create a special waste bin to deposit my front lawn's grass and create soil for the next year.

I am wondering if anyone here is actually using an application for such a thing? Keeping a track of the plants, maybe some visuals like images will be useful +fun!

I will make my research but I wanted at the same time keep a track of my gardening journey and share it with you all.

Thanks for pointing that out! I will keep it up updated with the correct links! Tomorrow I will be digging the ground and make it ready for some plants to start growing

you do not need a program, only knowledge and that can only come through experience, start with seeds in seed boxes and then replant them in the garden, Spring is the time to start, remember all fruit and vegatables have their seasons and remember to plant only what you need, flowers are always a good way to add beauty. there are no limits to what you can do in a garden, big or small.

Now is the cabbage season, I need to hurry and plant some at the start of the week, and maybe use a small portable greenhouse to grow them faster and keep them warm.

Todays had some spare time, to make the first dig up of the, looks amazing to be honest. Got a little tired but I think it will be an overall great hobby!!

I will dig it up 2 times more plus I will soil the ground with some sheeps dirts for extra flavor XD

I will start buying some already grown cabbages, no with spring time kicking the door cabbages are the best to plant now, not so hot and not so cold like a medium atmosphere.

I could like to keep a record somehow, especially all the information about the different veggies I will plant. Sadly I dont have much time to watch my garden in the mornings and I could like to manage the entire garden and give directions to my girl about when she needs to water them. I got time to search for something like that especially on Pinterest there are a lot of ways to keep track your garden!

General rule of thumb with watering plants is to do it well before sunrise and after sunset. That way the leaves won't wither, from the scorching as water is a magnifying glass. Managing plants is easier than you think, as you sound like you are fairly new to the work of forna and flora etc......for a brief time it will help until you get into some kind of pattern and you get to know your plants.....unless you have an issue with your memory....then you'll probably be better off getting postits or just leave the seed packet attached to half a cane at the beginning of the row, that way you always have a record in front of you outside in the fresh air

Always, I'd like to move to rocket fuel but this isn't the land of moonshine lmao

I would keep a log of what has successfully grown and what did not and pics for how well they grew. This way I could remember what to plant next year. No point replanting a crap crop LOL

if you buy plants that have started to grow and they are going to be transplanted, there is one thing that you have to remember and that is those plants have been grown in regulated greenhouses, heat, fertilizers and other chemical to make them grow fast and look better for selling. they will need the same conditions in the garden or you will be disapointed with the results.

Never thought it about that. Probably will avoid already grown plants and start with seeds, also my father made me a wooden pot like a small greenhouse to start growing strawberries in the summer and make smoothies :3 <3

I am so hyped, maybe I will shuffle the dirt and clean some more old roots and stones out of my garden!
