What is your favourite file hoster or Multi-hoster?

I used to pay for fileserve premium, and rapidshare.. but the problem is, that I can't keep up financially with all the popular hosters, so I went with a multi hoster.

I tried Zevera, they were utter CRAP. Host accounts were never online, the webpage took forever to process anything, and I'd get suspicious messages like "can't connect to host account, try again later" which probably means "we don't pay for the host accounts we advertise, so good luck with that."

I now use one called Real Debrid.

The positive: So far, they have great speed, and keep their hosts online. It's cheap, too.. 9 euros for 3 months. And I just found out by accident (well, because I actually READ something for a change,) that they also do torrents and magnet links to their hoster, so I don't have to. I just paste the magnet link in and forget about it. No more leaving the friggen utorrent running all night.

Works seamlessly with jdownloader and jdownloader 2.


The negative: they do NOT take paypal. They only take bitcoin, credit cards, or SMS & Phone billing. Have to paste links into their web site window and click Convert. It's an extra step, and it's not too annoying, and it happens quickly, but there should be some kind of plugin that auto-converts so I don't have to do that step. You can mass-paste, but that doesn't help if you are collecting links scattered across a thread.




I'm interested in your opinions and findings with other hosters or multi-hosters, because there is ALWAYS room for improvement or upgrade, and we might all benefit from it.
Some positive and negative bits can help us all make wiser decisions.

I have no experience with multi-hosts but so as to confuse the issue a little, I’d propose instead to buy subscription for newsgroups or Usenet. There’s a lot of stuff, high speeds and they’re safe. Far safer than torrents and no ratios to keep. You can usually get a free trial to assess the service.

I agree with the safety of newsgroups. I used them when there weren't any file hosters... before they existed. It was a great place to get xbox games and really really large stuff.. because there are no limits.
Depends on your provider though... I paid for giganews, which was excessively expensive but has a MASSIVE retention time. Now I use a budget newsgroup provider.. their retention period is a bit over a year, but they are $5 per month instead of $35USD per month.

Also, I've noticed that almost everything gets posted on newsgroups first... then it goes to torrents, then file lockers. My personal negatives of newsgroups is that they are harder to search for COMPLETED content (but perhaps that's due to ignorance on my part.)
