how are all these dvd screeners coming out? i was reading on another site they got like 140 screeners or something.
Who cares? Just be glad they did. Never look a gift horse in the mouth (or the other end, either).
By definition, a screener is an advance screening of a film or television series sent to critics, awards voters, video stores (for their manager and employees), and other film industry professionals, including producers and distributors.
So with so many people receiving an advance copy, the question is not how it got out but how can screeners possibly NOT get out to the web.

I always thought it meant a movie taken in the picture theatre with a hand held camera... which is why you see peoples heads in some screeners.. or unwanted sounds... given the the sound is awful to begin with...
I won't touch them myself.... hardly ever anyhow. I wait for a GOOD copy to come out.
