What do you look for in a release on DirtyWarez?

At the moment I am focusing on PC game releases and CD releases in .mp3 format with a bitrate of no less than 192 kbps.

I do my best to keep things as simple as possible for the end user, and to provide updated, clean files free of any crap you might come across when sourcing things from the web as a pirate.

When it comes to game releases, I don't like installers, I don't like copying crack files, I don't like the potential malware and false positives that need manual configuration to "whitelist" in modern PC antivirus software. Ideally my releases will be very easy to install (none required, just extract), be free of malicious files, and work on many modern windows systems.

With music releases my biggest complaint is advertising in the file names/comments/genre/publisher details of the .mp3 files. While this data is easy to modify with a lot of existing free software, it would be nice if more packages on DW took the time to ensure the files are clean of these annoying bits.

Last but certainly not least is the download speed of the file host/long term reliability of the download links. There are a lot of user friendly qualified file hosts on DW, and not all of them are created equal. So far I like mega.nz for the speeds and ease of use but maybe someone can sway my opinion in another direction.

If your release on DW checks all the boxes above then you can guarantee I will be a fan of it if I come across it.

So DW members, what do you look for in a release on DW?

If you have a suggestion for my releases on DW please do not hesitate to share! I want them to be as good as possible for the community.

Movies / Shows: I am noticing that sometimes there are portions that require subtitles due to there being dialogue that isn't the main language of the film (examples: Avatar 2 or Tetris) but those subtitles are not embedded or included as a separate file. Some movies don't show the translation because it doesn't matter if you understand the foreign language parts or not, but there's no way to know that. There might be some Kodi addon that can download these "forced" subtitles on the fly but I'd rather have them available offline.

Games: I like the cracks that don't break the LAN multiplayer function - it is uncommon, but sometimes can be an option.

A lot of films with Non English parts like Avatar and no subs is because they weren't done, usually have to wait until bluray release. Sometimes, you'll find subs for webrips but those aren't always the best. It is not the posters fault nor can they do anything about it, in most cases.

Agreed... horrid, at best. More often than not, if I have to grab a webrip.. and there's embedded subs, they need to be extracted and corrected. Most of it is just crap grammar, missing quotes, italics.. and every symbol on the planet to represent music symbols, except an actual music symbol. And even if they do have music symbols, most are either doubled up, or tripled... and that just looks like hell.

Now, depending on what the format of the sub is, music symbols aren't supported.. but still, I'd think it looks better to italicize the lyrics, than put a * or J or # .. or even the paragraph symbol to replace it.

We don't currently have any solutions for those requesting subtitles or to have them properly corrected if you do find one.

So vast a choice of up loaders, gives plenty to choose from.

What I would like is a good download speed, 500 kps or better. Drop used to be in that range but these days you are lucky to get 50 kps and as far as I am concerned should be removed from the User Friendly list. Meganz is the best for speed often bringing in 3.0 mps or better. Then the quality of the file is important. I would rather download a large file 10 to 15 Gb in 2160p then a 720p that looks terrible on todays big screen TV's.

I'm here more for software, but I agree that I don't like installers or potential malware. I know that's sometimes unavoidable, but it's great if Kaspersky can scan it without flagging it - better if the rest can too, but they do also look for cracks it seems.

My ideal download is:
1. Portable/no need to install
2. Doesn't get tagged by Kaspersky/AVs
3. Full functionality

No viruses/compromising PC is a given in any software you'd want imo.

I find E-book Section very interesting especially Tutorials..its like am in a library searching for collection of materials, books or media that are accessible for use and not just for display purposes...Most materials are payouts and hard to come across but in here get them

I like the music section a lot, it has such variety and the choice is amazing, I also grab the odd (small) game or two and maybe a movie every once in a while.
I run my PC very light so I don't have or use many warez, but when I do I try to get portable versions
