Users tagging RARBG movies as their own

Is it just me or has anyone else seen an increase in users taking RARBG files and tagging them as their own? I downloaded multiple x265 releases from several different posts here and VLC and the metadata clearly show it tagged as an RARBG release, but that's not what they're posting it as.

I've seen it here and other places as well. I know RARBG is gone, but it just seems wrong that users are trying to take credit for encodes they clearly didn't do simply to build their rep.

If you are referring to LAMA, they started doing that before RARBG is gone. And yes, they are the exact same encodes. Maybe it's just re-tagging, maybe they knew about the situation months before, maybe it's the same crew... I don't know. Bright side is, now there are more files/links of the same quality.

Those files are being uploaded on a private torrent tracker, so maybe uploaders share them thinking they are new stuff.
