The object is to draw this figure using one continuous line without raising your pencil and without crossing any lines.

I figured it out using windows paint after about 6 tries. I would show the solution but I don't wanna ruin it for others.

I think when you say "without crossing any lines" you mean "without retracing any lines", that is without going over the same line twice.

Nope. You cannot cross a previously drawn line. You cannot raise the pencil either.

Hint: the only place where you could cross a line is in the center......

I've got a solution, but it involves a dodge - drawing 2 lines at a time.

Either that, or going 2 times over the same line, which is not forbidden by the rules, only crossing is forbidden.

You cannot cross any line. You cannot retrace any line. You cannot draw more than one line at a time. You cannot raise the pencil.

Any more clever dodges I need to debunk? :lotpot:

oops I was wrong - there are 3 places where you could possibly cross a line (which is what I meant) although it would not be allowed in the solution.

Better hint: start by drawing a triangle.

lift the pencil from the paper
or
retrace a line
or
cross a line.

First one is a good solution. The second one left off the roof. Here is my solution:

There's no roof. Or alternatively, the envelope is sealed. That's what makes it tricky.
