This was my beautiful Tom Cat. " BooBoo " was his name , as huge as he was he was afraid of everything. I miss him.

What a beauty. He must have given you many wonderful memories. We currently are parents for 3 kittys; 2 Ocicats that don't really like people and my baby, a 14 year old Siamese named Yummy.

Beautiful cats and well taken photos all round so far, even allowing for the fact that cats are inherently photogenic. I’ve always maintained that cat lovers have an artistic eye for natural beauty – the true beauty.

But it is strange that the ocicats don't like people, usually this breed is very friendly and sociable.

As you know, I never miss an opportunity to post cat pics. So here are two cats from my neighborhood. They seek vantage points, especially the first one.

Most of mine are on DVD's converted from VHS tapes. Otherwise I'd post a pic of Rock, I could take the time to dig one up from the photo album, scan it, save and post that way too.

Rock was 8 years old when he got colon cancer

My 13 years old dog....well...she's dying right as I write this. It's the late evening and I don't think she'll make it till the morning.
She was completely at her usual until this evening when it all started. We took her to the vet - tumor inside her heart, spleen, methastases all over.
At the 8 p.m. she wasn't all that bad, and the idea was to see the vet tomorrow morning to plan how to make it less painfull for her as possible.

But just in couple of hours she started to get worse and worse. In this stupid town the vet ambulance, though working 24 hrs, they "do not perform euthanasia
during the night."
So, I just have to wait all night. My poor little angel is breathing heavier and heavier. All I can think of is stroke her gently and whisper her gentle words of love.

Though I expected this sooner or later....hurts so much. She gave us so much love and happiness in this 13 yrs.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
It was a great, great, loving member of our family.

Thanks Film Boy. Sympathy is quite enough mate.
She made it through the night, and we went to vet again to decide what to do. In short, it all went way to far and tomorrow
the vet will put her to sleep. Before all the agony such diagnose brings.

Had few talks with friends who went through the same thing. There's nothing else better to do for her.
All the memories keep going through my head all day long today. And all the joy that sweet dog had brough to all of our family.
We found her abandoned when she was just two months old. 13 yrs ago. And all the time spent with her was so good.
Though it feels like crap now losing her, I don't have no regrets.

Won't bother you all with this no more. Will be back till I put myself together. Thanks again Film Boy.

crampoos, I hope this helps you as much as it helped me when I lost my favorite toy poodle many years ago.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

we as dog owners have no perception of capturing the essence of what is by way of photography ;)

Congrats and welcome to the club. :)

As a proud cat owner, you should now consider joining the CAT = Cat Avatar Team.
What about the pic below?
