PayPal Error of $92 Quadrillion Makes Man a ‘Quadrillionaire

For a short while, Chris Reynolds was the richest man in the world…as a “quadrillionaire”!
"I felt like a million bucks" Reynolds said, “I would pay the national debt first”.

The 56-year-old Pennsylvania man received an online money transfer from PayPal on Friday, making his balance more than $92 quadrillion, or $92,233,720,368,547,800!

Soon after receiving the news, Reynolds received another notice from PayPal. "The sad part is that I got word that they still need me to renew the credit card that's attached to this account," he said. "So, even though I have 90 quadrillion dollars, they still don't trust me."

Anyhow - ya I saw this story on the news - made me wonder what would have happened if he had tried to cash out before paypal had caught on.

PayPal take at least a couple of hours to transfer anything and alarm bells would have gone off if he tried.
Ringing up and asking for a reward of .0001% would have still made him a rich beyond his dreams.
