A question here for the members across the pond from me in the USA who might just be able to help me in my quest to find out more
about my favorite tipple

a couple of years ago in France i bought a bottle of Old Virginia Excellence American Whisky and from the first taste i loved it,but i cannot find it anywhere in the UK
or find out anything about where it is distilled, who sells it etc

It is a 12 year old extra rare that i have only ever seen for sale in France,i have just come back from there again and have of course got some more but i am putting off
opening it in case i cannot get any more

if anyone knows the brand and can give any info on the distillery etc it would be most appreciated

If you still can’t find it, try asking these people who sell whisky online in UK:

It's hard to locate this one as it seems to originate from France?

But I managed to find this:

Thanks Katzenfreund, i have tried the Whisky Exchange but even though they carry over a 1000 differing brands guess what, they never heard of the one i need lol

Thanks bmark240, i have a bottle of this as well brought back by a family member from France ( got family out there ) who thought it was the one i am looking for

This is the one i am trying to find, would love to know where it is distilled etc

Just seen online that it is made for the French export market, probably means i will only get it there then, looks like i need to plan a trip to Virginia to find it :whistling:

Thanks for your help guy's

Well, my friend, the bottle and crate are certain to name the distiller. So you find its site/email and address your question to them. If you can't find the site, send them a snail mail letter. Even without full address, it will still probably reach them.

If only it were that simple, there is absolutely no info at all on the bottle or box,no maker,no importer,no nothing and that is what i find strange

Try this it's the best I can do. From a Spanish site...

Goto Page 7 of Alcohol->Whisky

Code:
http://www.grauonline.com/en

They can ship to the UK for 45,63 euro about £40...
