I am waiting for the day when the Russian army.... to just stop and put down the guns.. It happened in what 1917 and that ended the rule of the Czars and started the beginning of present day Communism.
He may be a mad man, but his fighters may not be mad like him. After all, they are going to kill the same people they call comrades.
Ground to ground, building to building fighting will never work in the big citys....they will need an army forever to police the area....no real end game like that..

Reports are some soldiers are just as mad as Putin and some feel sympathy like we do. But in the end if the finger is on the Nuclear button none of this will matter.

Whoever presses the nuclear buttons (there are more than one) who will benefit? remember Germany and Japan, they were defeated by bombs and the atomic bomb. today they are on the top of the worlds economy, but it was the normal people in the street who had to pay for it with their lives. It is good if it suıts you and bad if it does not. The UN is there to stop wars not start them, what is it doing now?

Back. Managed to evacuate 90 families (about 320 people).

Prospects of nuclear war is slim at best, but with this administration - anything can happen.

Ask any first nation people the value of a conquering powers word...

Interesting bit of Russian propaganda starting to make the rounds yesterday - that the US was sending nuclear weapons into Ukraine...

In the 1990's, the world powers at that time promised Ukraine (and other former Soviet republics) that they would not invade if they gave up their nuclear weapons.

Those weapons were returned to the Russian Federation (who then lost/sold them to NORK/Iran/Libya/Iraq?/others?).
