Anyone getting Next Gen console?
PS4 - Xbox One or anything else?

I am happy with my PS3 but I have preordered my PS4 as there are many a game that appeals to me.

Hopefully the price will drop on Xbox One now PS4 have announced there price.

Both Sony and Microsoft can take their new consoles and use them as boat anchors.
Neither one followed through with the promise to be backwards compatible.
It's bad enough we have a PS2 and 3 and they want me to buy a 4.
Where is the sense in someone having 3 of the same type of console?

that you have spend every month 15 € to game online, how stupid is that?

for PS4, it will take long before it is in the shops available, (still 5 months here)
pretty sure they delay it for 4 times, they did that before and will do it again

Micro$oft have shot themselves in the foot...again!

During a demo of Killer Instinct to drum up excitement for its new Xbox One, Microsoft brought out a man and a woman to battle it out on the big screen onstage in Los Angeles. In this scripted event the man, of course, kicks the woman's ass at the fighting game. "I can't even block correctly and you're too fast," she says, playing a video game like a girl. But even more problematic than those stereotypical gender roles was the part when her adversary said this: "Just let it happen. It will be over soon. You know, like a rape"

Also Microshit said that Xbox 0 will not be backwards compatible, will have to be connected online to actually play a game, said that you don't actually own a game on Xbox 0 you just share a licence.

It's like a kind of Betamax for Consoles....

If you were hoping to play your vast collection of Xbox 360 games on Microsoft's latest creation, we've got a spot of bad news. Microsoft Xbox Live VP Marc Whitten confirmed to The Verge that the new Xbox One console will have no backwards compatibility whatsoever.

"No, there's not," said Whitten, when we posed the question. "The system is based on a different core architecture, so back-compat doesn't really work from that perspective."

That means that Xbox 360 discs won't work, but also extends to Xbox Live Arcade downloadable titles. Anything that was designed for the Xbox 360 will have to be rebuilt, and it sounds like Microsoft doesn't plan to do so.

Dam this sucks, I won't be buying one until a new black ops title is released, even then I might pass on it.

I like to play the old titles, I have the complete COD collection.

Bah I will just stick with PC games - with the price of a new console and games - you can easily spend $800+ for the unit and some games... plus I am addicted to using a mouse for FPS games, I just can't aim quickly enough with those thumb joystick thingies.
