Like Onions? Just learned trick

I love onions
Don't like cutting them I start crying :shrug:

So, figured I'd try this and see how it went.
Out to the wood shop, got my safety goggles and sit at the table and cut up the 6 onions without a tear nor burning eye :thumbsup:

Just had to take frequent breaks to un-fog the inside of the glasses before I mistake my finger for an onion :lol:

Instead of wearing goggles, you can just cut the onions under water.
Alternatively, breath thru the mouth, which prevents tears.

It's also best to use a very sharp knife to avoid crushing the onion and releasing the enzymes.And point the tubes away from you while cutting.

Been there done all of that except the one under water
Doing that soaks a lot of water into your onion and makes them harder to fry :thumbsup:

Just had Fried potato's and onion for lunch :mrgreen:

An even better trick is to get your girlfriend to cut the onions for you instead :claps:

That way you don't get the stink on your hands either :thumbsup:

Or the simplest thing is to not put your head and thus your eyes over the onion.
I hope everyone here understands the you do have arms and they do reach out so you can cut onions away from your head.
