Any advice you'd pass on from experience? I'd offer the following cautionary tale:

Free rent, sounds good! I'll save dollarydoos & purchase soothing beverages *sage nod.

Okay so I'll be living in a shack, in the middle of a forest, in the middle of nowhere & of course there's no running power/water. Oh and it turns out First Nations people have historically avoided the entire area for somewhat unclear reasons; what could possibly go wrong? Turns out a lot. Things will happen that you or no one else will believe man... they'll happen anyway. So beware the free cheese, or maybe the whole Walden thing may not be as advertised?

Easy jobs don't pay. Jobs demanding high levels of commitment, continuing advancement of pertinent career knowledge, effective organizational and communication, delegation and follow up skills and the willingness to accept responsibility for the actions of others is usually where the pay puts you and yours in a fairly comfortable cash flow lifestyle. Well, what little life you have left over after fulfilling the prior list of admirable traits. The more time, travel and responsibility you are willing to commit to generally opens doors so long as your knowledge base continues to grow as well to where comfortable turns to more than adequate and for some, riches that afford elegant leisure.
Dropping fries when the hot holding station is quarter full and waiting for the timer to tell you to pull them up was never meant to provide a comfortable lifestyle but an opening to opportunity.

I never understood this statement until I got older. Please don't waste your youth because you only have one life to live and you will never get back lost time. And one area I'm specifically referring to is work. I don't care how much money you make, you can't buy health nor happiness.
