Hi all ! do you have any good new movies to recommend? And would you recommend Project Hail Mary ? I saw the trailer for it and it looked good ! but people have been telling me that it's kinda meh and not as nicely paced as you originally think it is

Hail Mary was all AI/CGI and little "acting" or "dialogue".
i didn't hate it, but i thought it was a bit too contrived
if you took the movie Ted and Star Wars and combined them, the result would be this movie
worth a watch if nothing is on
i wonder why there are so few good movies
i find myself watching older movies, as new content is lacking

It's good movie. Not as good as book and previous movie based on author book "Martian" but still -8/10 also funny. I can recommend decent comedy I saw lately "Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice"

I tried to watch it, but it was hard to keep my attention on it. I ended up watching something else because...meh. maybe it'd be different if I were in the right mood for it.

I loved this movie. Wasn't expecting Ryan Gosling to be a good Ryland Grace, but it all worked.

Just watched this on my 120" screen and enjoyed it quite a bit, however I'd still give the edge to The Martian. About a 7.5-8 / 10 for me given that watching it on a larger format really brought out some of the IMAX strength.

Just make sure there are no spoilers because I'm sure there are some that haven't watched that want to, thanks

Sometimes everyone says you have to watch this movie and it turns you away from it, but if no one told you to watch it you'd think it was awesome. I think it's a great movie.

I agree with mojelogowanie that the movie was not as enjoyable as the book. There was a lot of detail left out of the movie (I imagine for time and the complexity of portraying in visuals), however, the movie did as good a job as one could expect, given the length and complexity of the source material. Would recommend seeing if you haven't already, but would follow it up with the book (as it's well worth the read!)

The movie's great!
I went in with no expectations or understanding of what it was supposed to be like and I think that really helps.
The sense of discovery from learning as you watch the movie is awesome.

I'm older than most of you kids and I've seen a lot of movies over my 7 decades. I've seen special effects change over that time. People are complaining about AI/CGI effects but this movie uses it properly to help the viewer feel some of the immenseness of the story. Don't listen to them because it is their loss don't let it be your loss too.

Screenplays are rarely, if ever, true to the original story. The minds eye is so much more subjective than the silver screen. One can create their own visuals in the mind. This is one phenomenal movie and I'm giving it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and 2 thumbs up 👍👍.

Ryan Gosling never disappoints and Sandra Hüller is perfect with her cover of Sign of the Times.

100% worth it. As someone that was not familiar with the book prior to watching, I enjoyed the story and display.

I've been holding out because I want to read the book first. But someone who read it actually said I should watch it first because it flows better? We'll see what I end up doing!
