You know, I was pretty into the series when I first read it like a decade ago. But I tried reading Interview again a few years ago, and eh, it's just too meandering for me. It's like, Christ, Anne Rice, what are you even talking about, sometimes? I do recall The Vampire Lestat and Queen Of The Damned still being pretty good though, and I'll probably have to go back to those.

I watched the first season of the series when it came out, and I guess I thought it was okay, I suppose I didn't find it too memorable.

Just found this thread I'm in love with the TV series. It's one of my series of the decade. Everything from the casting to the sets to the acting performances is incredible.

Sam Reid was born to play Lestat.

Haven't read the books yet.

EDIT: Season 3 is a complete tonal shift from S01-02, and an exploration of Lestat's chaotic mind. I'm having so much fun watching it and genuinely laughing so much at how he views the world. Sam Reid's Lestat is insanely well acted and deserving of some kind of award imo. This is pure art.

Books, I can't say anything for. I did see some of the series, actually forgot that was what I had watched but thought that name sounded familiar and remembered the characters/actors faces from googling it, lol. From what I saw, I would probably at least go back and watch it again when I get some time, but at the time it did keep my attention enough with the wit and story telling.
