Honesty pays off for homeless Boston man

Donations of more than $110,000 (£67,000) have poured in from across the US for a Boston homeless man who returned a lost bag with $42,000 in it.

Glen James alerted police after he found the backpack containing cash and traveller's cheques last weekend, and the bag's owner was then tracked down.

A complete stranger later started an online fund for Mr James after reading media reports about his honesty.

yep nice to see some people get rewarded for stuff......I was in a cafe when I was a child of about 9/10 having a milkshake with my father, when I saw a bundle and I do mean bundle of money fall out of a blokes pocket...so I went up to him and said excuse me you've dropped this and pointed...he stuck it back in his pocket and didn't even thank me. If it had been as an adult I would have given him a slap for being so ungrateful but as a child...to be that honest and its not even appreciated...thats flat out wrong.

These good deeds that get news headlines are few and far between in comparison to the great many good deeds that are done around the world and are never mentioned...sad really but true

They did some press conference where the gentlemen appeared at the Boston Police Headquarters, where I wouldn't be surprise if commissioner Ed Davis then order he be taken into custody and they decide to "hold" the money while he attends some kind of treatment program. This is level of corruption in Boston, sorry 29 year resident in the heart of the city.
