I seen the funniest thing today

Walking home from a neighbors I see this light brown looking thing against a tree at the line

Thinking it was a grocery bag I started walking over to pick it up and it moved

Second look its a cat and the cat was looking straight up the tree :whistling:
I look up the tree and there's the poor squirrel trapped in the tree and no other tree's close by to jump to in order to escape from the cat :lotpot:

The cat had the squirrel treed

I went for my camera but it was gone by the time I got back outside.

shoot the cat!
let the squirrel go free.
One is native the other is vermin.

Sorry katz.

Strange that the cat was looking up the tree, as cats can climb trees. Probably this was what happened.

As for shooting newcomers to a place and keeping the natives, well, cats and Aborigines (and...herons) lived in Australia, for example, long before the whites were shipped there. :whistling:

I think the little guy was declawed, house cat

Natives, Aborigines and herons yes.
Cats no.
Even the Tasmanian Tiger which is extinct now was not a cat really.

And declawing a cat is just mean.

I thought so too, but even the dam vets recommend it here :hmmm:

For once we agree.

As much as I hate cats I would never go out of my way to hurt them.
I've just pissed of a black and white thing that hunts the birds coming down to my pond for a bath and a drink.
I pruned all the plants offering it a hiding place so now it's got no hope.
If I do catch it though I will spray it with orange peel oil and see if it ever comes back.

But I would never really hurt it.
