It says it takes 60 seconds - don't believe it. I started a scan 20 minutes ago and it's still scanning.

OK. The initial scan took about 90 minutes. Then it said it was checking the cloud to see if any of the files on my box were malware. It said to run a second scan after waiting 75 minutes. The second scan took about 5 minutes.

All in all, not bad for a free malware scanner. It found 6 malware files that my onboard scanner missed. Caution is recommended though because it also said some of the files I want and use were malware - false positives. But since it gives you the choice of deleting them or not, it seems like a worthwhile bit of programming. I'll probably keep it.

It's the first time I hear of this much promising tool. As a good start, their site is given by web-guards as safe. And it's portable. But I have a few queries in my mind.

Firstly, I note that they don't keep their promise of 60 second scan. Which makes me wonder how many of their other promises they'll keep.

Secondly, I don't see how it can have no impact on system resources if does any scanning or uploading to cloud scanners.

Thirdly, using 68 anti-malware scanners will certainly detect most malware, but also too many false positives, especially since some of those 68 scanners will be second class – there aren't so many first class ones.

Thirdly, anything connected to the cloud can send info about my system to unknown/uncontrolled recipients.

My conclusion: All in all, a much promising tool to put on observation. But since it's new, I’d rather wait for some specialized lab reports on it.
