I have found in the past that you may want to actually look up some of the so-called *ratings* some places use as references. There was some software a while back I looked up and the places had never heard of the software. Just by coincidence it happened to be a VPN too. Sometimes a few extra minutes of checking saves you a lot of headaches, especially with a brand you've never heard of.
I find that the negative product reviews are real and if you find a product with all positive reviews those will be the paid reviews. If ya get my drift.

The one I looked up was almost a 50/50 split for good and poor, it looked quite legit, I was bored and started snooping, it ended up all the "Good" ratings were bogus.
