I'm surprised you enjoy psychological films, aren't they usually slow paced? Kind of a slow crawl to the edge of insanity (and sometimes off it)? I enjoyed Forrest Gump, but I can see how it isn't for everyone. (The accent issue is definitely a valid take).I'm not really for one to watch fairly slow films, I'm not really a drama type droid. Adrenalin junky, comedy, horror and psychological films. I couldn't deal with the accent he used, some just grate on you and his did.
Not always slow paced, however, with psychological thriller films, if they are too slow a burn, I will lose interest very quickly unless the psychology is playing out from the beginning. Film makers play with viewers brains and its all about something needs to grab your attention within the first 10 minutes. That doesn't bother me as much as the acting or the storyline, I am a qualified counsellor and psychologist so those types of films always interest me.I'm surprised you enjoy psychological films, aren't they usually slow paced? Good picks! Here are a few that I think come closest. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen them yet. Finding similar films is toughest for Fight Club, but here's my best shot:Recently watched Interstellar, John Wick, and Fight Club and now I'm stuck trying to find something that hits the same level![]()
