So far I am not impressed by many teams. some show sparks of ability and should be applauded but by no means can they claim equal pay as the men get. Running around banging into each other does not a good game make.

I agree with you. I mean, the men haven't been to the semi-finals in the World Cup since what, 1930?

1.Men have far stiffer competition,

2. Pay should be determined by the revenue that the endeavour creates.

3. I don’t recall a men’s world cup team being beaten by a girl’s university/college/high school team.

4. And surely you cannot compare women’s world cup play, to the men’s world cup.

Maybe in time they will be worth watching seriously.

Football like any other sport is controlled by the number of people who watch it. Women's football is just starting and it will grow as there will be much money to be made from it and that is what sport is today, commercial profit.

Dunno where you've been but womens football has had european cups, world cups...I don't think it gets much bigger than a World cup does it?

Why are you impressed with the men when they fall over a blade of grass and then roll over several times like they've been shot, what about those that use their hand to score goals, the lazy ones that lose the ball and won't chase back to retrieve it. Yes, I did play football but sunday league is a lot tougher than the pampered professionals! Players used to play with pride when they were selected for the National Team for international duty but now a lot players don't even bother trying.

Eh... you have your points of view, and yes... I do watch the matches. I watch them because they are entertaining... I put no founding price on who scores how many goals.

A woman I read about, just tied Michael Phelps for the most medals won in swimming.
Women have been in charge of my health care for decades now, and I couldn't be happier.
Women are starting to dominate... and I'm here to see it happen. I also get to see the tears of those that can't handle it.

It has a lot of coverage. The problem is the media....they want total access and no other media company can have access to. Its no different than the mens football, the FA decide to do a deal with say BBC sport and that's that, doesn't matter if you have sky, virgin, etc etc you have to PPV it. Or find yourself an online sports site...its not that they don't get the coverage, its because its SELECTIVE coverage due to the above reason. Its disgusting, unless you buy a tv licence you can't watch any live tv shows or ones that are on repeat....until they're not.
