Broadband Deals

With new Year coming up soon is it worth me waiting to sign up with a broadband provider, I've just moved into a property today and want to get one of the better broadband packages, it's slightly cheaper if I tie myself into a 2 year contract which I don't mind but worried with new years coming up that if I tie myself in now then a deal crops up on new years I'll be gutted as I won't be able to get that saving.

Should I wait? Or do you think there won't be many broadband related deals this year?

I'm waiting for the New Year because that's when they complete the connection in my area, although if I sign up now they knock a $100 off, I'm rolling the dice and I'm still waiting until they get everything hooked up and hopefully they don't get the customers they expected and have a bigger sale in the new year.
