Been awol

I have been awol for a few days due to our son taking a tumble at a supercross event, he usually rides motorcross races and i think this was his first ( and he says his last ) superCross event

he was not even going fast when the bike kicked him off, he was knocked unconscious and was taken to hospital which involved a four hour road journey with six broken ribs, a smashed shoulder, broken collar bone and a punctured lung, after a lung reinflation and eight days with a chest drain he was allowed home today to allow his lung to fully recover before he has surgery to insert various metalwork parts to stabilise his shoulder and collar bone

Sorry to hear that, hope he recovers soon and fully. Looking at it from the positive side, he's likely to stay away from dangerous activities in the future.

Thanks guys, at first he was going to give up on racing motorcross but now he is making plans to get back as soon as he physically able to ride the smaller
bike first then get back on the bigger ones, so i guess if it is in your blood and something you really want to do you will
