Hi folks!!! good day!

I was wondering if there is any algorithm in lottery like movie "Jerry & Marge Go Large" . I am just curious and want to work or research.

Sorry if this post looks childish.

The best way to win is to not play at all.
This keeps you at an even amount but you didnt lose any money either.
I will admit I do buy a few tickets when the jackpot is high.

There is no algorithm as far as I know and if there was I can assure you I would have it:D

at the risk of sounding like an elitist, i always say that the lottery is a tax for the naive.

a friend of mine was the financial consultant advising the governor of my state. he was responsible for bringing the lottery in to the state. i asked him what the percentages of winning were. he laughed and said "it's a tax for the naive".

if ya want to gamble, invest in index funds.

rule 72, thanks for the info DrP.

Perhaps Warren Buffet should have put his funds into buying lottery tickets wherein his chances of making serious returns would have been next to nothing like everyone else. Still, choosing the logical path of identifying value and investing for the long term appears to have worked okay for him...

If you must have a go, then just guess random numbers and then forget them.
Then pick more random numbers again next time.
Your odds of winning are still pretty much impossible but they will be better than if you chose to take the same numbers every try.
But for the ones where they have balls, depending on how they are grabbed or dropped remember that double digits have more paint on them , so they would have to be a tiny tiny bit different in weight.
Now if you want to give up smoking , well that is simple & I have the algorithm for that,, and it's dead easy too .
You just need to give up one cigarette a day, the first one.

In the last few years I've been seeing many stories of people having won the lottery by using the automatically generated numbers (most lotto games provide this option), instead of picking their numbers.

I haven't played in more than a year as I often also feel it's a tax for the naive... but now the next times I play I think I'll also let the algorithm choose.

If I remember correctly, someone in the past, wrote down all the numbers on pennies. Put them in a jar, randomly picked them... and eventually won.

But, I see that as no different than you just looking at the list, and picking what you like.
