A few recent images (mine), lunar eclipse, Milky Way

The first image was taken to check my equipment 4 days before the recent lunar eclipse and find a focal point through my telescope using a different camera to my normal unit (A Canon EOS 5D)
First shot with the original Canon 5D (currently on long term loan from a friend)

The further images shot with a 5D Mk4, also on loan from same friend:

This was the eclipse night sky, as to be expected in my region

Awesome photo’s. Living in Northern Canada we see the sky differently than people in the city. The Northern Lights are especially spectacular when they come out. I use to take lots of photographs around here but eventually lost interest of the art. Seeing these photos has kinda inspired me to maybe pickup the camera again.

its not always about light pollution, you can't see it from here either, can't see the northern lights unless I drive about 400 miles lol

A few more details, the moon shots were taken through a 152mm (6") Skywatcher refractor with a 1200mm (4') focal length, mounted on a Skywatcher EQ5 PRO GOTO mount.
The lunar eclipse shot consists of 13 individual 1 second frames stacked in either Autostakkert 3 or Sequator (I'm not sure, my son did the stacking after I went to bed).

The Milky Way was 3, 25 second images stacked (fog rolled in), shot on the Canon 5D MK4 through an F2.8 16-30mm lens.

Very nice. I remember as a kid in AR camping and looking up and seeing a wonderful sky at night.
Have not seen this in many years but the memories are still there.
