what the hell where they thinking with Tron Ares? it had some cool fight sceen but the story was so weak and sad. the ending was so stupid why would u go back to the old disk.

I thought it was bad also... even some of the acting wasn't great.
You have a point there, at least Tron Ares was not as bad as Morbius, but that's a damn low bar.
I totally agree as Jared Leto ruined the movie for me
I've personally never seen Jared Leto in any role that would have worked for him. This time, he was plain creepy.
This movie got the Disney Star Wars sequel treatment. More a "what if?" than a sequel with ideas carbon copied from other, already failed projects.
The movie as a whole felt amateurish. Despite the budget and the rich gfx it felt like those 80s-90s direct to rubbish bin action movies where the military invasion involved one chopper, 2 jeeps and a loud bloke throwing his one grenade. It had neither weight, nor substance. A "Let's pretend that..." level, immature vision.
The parts I have really enjoyed were the few moments where Reznor's music shined through, and where we got to see the old and original Tron grid. This effectively turned the movie into a longish NIN music video for me.
It is rather disappointing that after the similarly clueless Tron Legacy they didn't even try following up whatever they have built there. It shows that there is simply no captain on this ship. Double embarrassing is the fact that already in 2003 Monolith has released a capable and comparably well written video game called Tron 2.0 with a plot and a music score that fit the universe much better. Finding a sequel plot should have not been a difficult task.
As a fan of the original I have invited my friends to the cinema. Coming out of the hall we had to agree that the coolest thing about the evening was the really high quality, metallic popcorn buckets we got for real cheap.
