Me and a friend of mine like watching films every week. One of them was Diary of the Dead, by John Romero.

I told this to a few people by now, but this director genuinely did not understand the genre he was making a film for. Having one of the main characters tell us that she added music "to make it scarier" was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in a film. It would be the equivalent of filming a war zone and adding music to make it look scarier. Absolutely ridiculous shit.

Didn't know anything about it and was blown away. One of the slickest movies Ive seen in a long time, and done a very small budget. Amazing fight scenes, perfect pacing and great ending. Highly recommended.
