Why did God kill a man for spilling his seed on the ground?

The Bible
Why did God kill a man, Onan, for spilling his seed on the ground as recorded in:
Genesis 38:9? Is that really worthy of death?

Matthew 19:6

"So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

Genesis 38:9
9 But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother.

Genesis 2:24: Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

When some on social media have waived that thing in my face... I bring up this one, and I tell them to teach this scripture's importance to the young women in the family.

Genesis: 19:33 - 36

33: And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

34: And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

35: And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

36: Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

I never hear from them again.

Ephesians 5:28-30
“That’s how husbands ought to love their wives — in the same way as they do their own bodies. Anyone who loves his wife loves himself. No one ever hates his own body, but feeds it and takes care of it just like Christ does for the church because we are parts of his body.”

“That’s how husbands ought to love their wives — in the same way as they do their own bodies.
I'm glad I'm not married then because she'd be ignored.
Not loving this body since I've hit my 60s either, stubborn gut which won't shrink, I look like a piece of string with a double knot tied in the middle.
Bits that used to work and impress others no longer work.
Not loving this body at all!
Luckily I don't have a wife to hate at the same time but I can keep on hating my ex for all eternity.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4: 18-19

Matthew 15:20
These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”

Genesis 9:3
3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Genesis 9:3
3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
Does that means people can freely become cannibals?

Ezekiel 5:10

10 Therefore in your midst parents will eat their children, and children will eat their parents. I will inflict punishment on you and will scatter all your survivors to the winds.

Ezekiel 5:10

Beauty is all around us, the problem being is that many people do not see it.

1 Peter 3:3-4
3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.
4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Job 19:23
“Oh that my words were written!
Oh that they were inscribed in a book!

Adam and Eve had three kids, Cain, Able & Seth, so that means there were 5 people on earth or a family of 5.
But Cain and Able took wives...
Somebody tell me how & where did these wives come from?
And,,,, I also wonder if Adam & Eve had navels?
But more importantly Why is there a "D" in Fridge but no "D" in Refrigerator?
But to answer your Question, my favorite book in the Bible is the book of Revelation, it's full on & almost a Marvel Script

The story of Adam and Eve and their children is a well-known narrative from the Bible. According to the Bible, Adam and Eve were the first human beings created by God. They had two sons named Cain and Abel. Later, they had another son named Seth. The Bible does not provide a detailed account of their lives, including where Cain and Seth's wives came from.
The existence of other people outside of Adam and Eve's immediate family is a question that has led to various interpretations and discussions among theologians and scholars. Here are a few theories that have been proposed:
  1. Intermarriage with Siblings or Other Family Members: Some interpretations suggest that Cain and Seth might have married their sisters or other close relatives, as there wouldn't have been any other humans outside their family initially.
  2. Creation of Additional Humans by God: Another interpretation is that God created other humans apart from Adam and Eve, and these other humans could have been the potential spouses for Cain and Seth. This theory would mean that the Bible's account is focused on the lineage of Adam and Eve, rather than a comprehensive history of all humans.
  3. Symbolic or Allegorical Interpretation: Some scholars view the story of Adam and Eve as more symbolic or allegorical rather than a literal historical account. In this view, the story might represent broader themes of human existence, rather than describing the specific details of how the human population grew.
It's important to note that the Bible doesn't provide explicit information on the origins of Cain and Seth's wives. Different religious traditions and scholars may have varying interpretations of these details. Ultimately, the lack of detailed information in the biblical account leaves room for different perspectives and interpretations.

The word "fridge" is actually a shortened form of the word "refrigerator." The letter "d" is present in "fridge" because it comes from the middle of the word "refrigerator." When words are shortened or abbreviated, they often undergo changes to make them more concise and easier to say or write. In this case, "refrigerator" was shortened to "fridge" by removing certain syllables and letters, resulting in the letter "d" being present in the abbreviated form.

Rev. 1. [1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: [2] Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

So, in other words ( and to cut a long story short) the Bible isn't accurate at all is it.
People always add their own theories to describe the stuff that doesn't make sense, but they are only guessing too & they don't know for sure.
In my opinion, I think that it is just a story with a lot of good intention but with a heap of loop holes.
Maybe the original script was factual, but King James gave us the version we have now and who knows what was changed when it was interpreted & translated.
And who knows if he also changed things to suit his own agendas.
Anyway, that is why my religion is now Jedi,, so may the force be with you.

That is why the Christian religion is divided into so many sub groupes, which are too many to name, each having their own interpretation of Christianity.
