I pay for it in India. The Family Premium package is less than US$5 a month

I pay £2.60 a month ish now since they upped the price of their family plan not long ago, I don't even want to pay it tbh. Only doing it to keep the missus happy.

Ive been getting YT Premium from India using vpn method since 2019 ish . Usually about £1.90 a month for Family. Have to say i wouldnt pay the £19.99 for UK . Then i also get my Netflix Premium from Turkey (for the time being at least) £5 or so a mth for and just cancelled my Disney + and gone through Turkey for that at £29 a year. Just got Tidal Family through Argentina for less than a £1 a month.

Got a better method these days, I just use Ublock Origin if i'm on the PC, And because i have an Android phone i use Youtube Revanced, works perfect.

and on the Nvdia Shield i have an app that acts like YT without the ads, Can't remember what its called. Something Tube.
