NHL Player Says If He Wanted To Support The Gays He'd Be Playing Soccer

PHILADELPHIA, PA — NHL star Ivan Provorov declined to participate in the Philadelphia Flyers' Pride Night or wear a rainbow-colored jersey, saying if he wanted to support the gay agenda he would have played soccer instead of hockey.

"Listen, man, I got nothing against the gays," said Provorov to a crowd of outraged sports writers as the rest of his team pranced across the ice gracefully in their colorful outfits. "But I ain't wearing that thing. Let's leave all that gay stuff in soccer where it belongs. Also, I believe in God and stuff, and I don't want to disobey him, so there's that."

The sports world expressed unbridled outrage at the decision. "The lives of LGBTQ+ people are in danger unless everyone on earth affirms their sex lives by wearing the special uniform and saluting the special flag," said Sports Illustrated writer Gloop Schnixen (they/them) in an op-ed. "If Provorov refuses to show unquestioning fealty to our belief system, he is a fascist and must be punched until he complies."

Representatives for Major League Soccer confirmed that they celebrate Pride Night every night, and invited anyone who felt unwelcome in the NHL to attend one of their soccer games for free. So far, none have accepted the invite.

At publishing time, the NHL courted more controversy after several players refused to wear sparkly princess dresses on Trans-Awareness Night.

ummm, I've got a problem with him....I was playing football and I am no homosexual. If I was somewhere around his age, I'd show him who was the batty boy and it wouldn't be me. I was a nightmare at that age...he only has a hockey stick, I was threatened with a getting a plank of wood with nails in it in my head. My response was to chase them around the estate....people like him really get on my goat.

The none-too-subtle message: A religious Russo-American athlete = The ruthless Russian authoritarian, neo-imperialist invader.

Where is the objective journalism in that? Why do LGBTQ+ advocates need to demonize Provorov, who did nothing but exercise his Constitutionally protected right?

There is no such thing as objective journalism anymore and its been like that for several years. All MSM has an agenda therefore subjective. The LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ want inclusion but some seem to practice exclusion when it comes to something like this. What he has done is stereotyped everyone that plays football and there would be some players that would show him who's the bitch. It is thrust down our throats for years now and tbh, they should just live their lives and not get involved in other peoples statements. actions or reactions...unless they were provoked.

The mayor of London has earmarked multiple millions to build a LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ apartment building solely for them with gyms, restaurants etc, that doesn't really scream inclusion! What gets me is that all these people have been going on with their lives for years and then suddenly start pushing their ideology in everyones face. It like some of the gay pride photos taken with little children with men, dressed as women in not a lot of clothing....I find it disturbing. There are that young lad who was paraded on tv dressed as a girl. That isn't right either, individuals are individuals and they aren't supposed to be followers but individuals with their own minds to be able to make their own decisions. Let's take for example the NHS is giving FREE gender re-assignment operations because people say they are in the wrong body....but wait, isn't it the brain that makes these decisions, the brain is what drives their thoughts not the body. Its the same with kiddy fiddlers, the genitals get the blame for a brain that is not functioning properly. Its a mental health issue but has been made into something else entirely and NO ONE in the counselling or psychology wants to speak up about this issue! It baffles me, maybe their are scared of telling them the truth about them, rather than just go along with it!

I dunno if he actually said what the post title says and I highly doubt it he did. But he did boycott the pregame warmup because he didn’t want to wear the pride jersey. That’s what I was going by and referring to so I stand by my comment LOL
