Movie or Animation?

Okay, I have a question:

I see the movie Lightyear listed in the Movies section. Sure, it's a movie. However, it's animated so I would think it would belong in the Animation section.

So how is it decided where such things go? Is it based on runtime, popularity, how much of it is animated? Or is it something else?

Or am I just being an idiot?

I see it posted in the Movies and the Animation sections.

It is clearly a computer-animated film, although it is described by its director/co-writer Angus MacLane as a live-action movie in the Toy Story universe.

Does DW let cartoon creatures decide real life policy? Doesn't fit with my impression of NavyRet and crew, who may be jokers, but they ain't no caricatures. (I predict reassignment of errant "Lightyear" posts from Movies to Animation.)

It does belong in animation as it is animated. Some movies like Roger Rabbit or Song of the South would probably go there as well even though they are partially animated.

It belongs in Cartoons. In the future, please report any such posts you find that you believe are in the wrong sections. That's the only way we know about them is if you report them. Thanks. I'll take care of all the Lightyear posts.

Roger Rabbit or Song of the South

These would go in Movies as they are mostly real people with only less than half being animated.

Even if your not sure of something, you can still report it and the staff will deal with it accordingly
