Why are people still recommending IDM??

• Every 10 minutes I get a popup notification that my license is not valid
• Grabber is completely broken.. when i enter a website it appears that its downloading files but all the files completely disappear suddenly..
• You are suppost to download an intermediary program from Github to make IDM integrate with the browser but for me it is not working at all, apparently , I think, it only works with official Chrome and Firefox which is absurd and insulting, because I use Opera, Vivaldi and Librewolf..

What are you guys opinion regarding IDM?
Do you recommend another program?

Works good for me but it is one of the few apps I have purchased..
Have been using for over 10years here.
No complaints at all.

Maybe you should try Jdownloader as I see alot of people that use and recommend it.

Nowadays, all well known DMs are good and differences are small. It's probably more a matter of whose interface you prefer.
Though IDM is generally considered marginally the best, this may well be psychological due to having to pay for it. So, if you're having problems with it, it's not worth keeping it. And cracks can be troublesome, also because of the frequent updates.

Of the free alternatives, the best reputation is enjoyed by Jdownloader, as said above by the knowledgeable twncam, and the open source Free Download Manager. In fact, with these two excellent free choices around, I wonder why people pay for anything else.

I have a problem with JD2 is that some video sites , when entering the address to download video, detects additional videos from other links on the page..
I just want it to detect the active video on the page, I opened a topic on their forum but no one was able to help me..
I would appreciate it if you tried to help me..

How do you stop it from telling you that the lisense is invalid every 10 minutes?
If you have actually purchased the software then your opinion doesnt actually apply here..

if you like it so much then just buy it as you should buy anything you pirate you use a lot and enjoy maybe im ol school lol

Alright let me ask you this, did you try the Grabber module?
I dont like the grabber mode as a mod I dont want IDM grabbing links when I open topics

This is pirated warez and sometimes you cant get rid of these.
I have had software that still shows a 30 day trial even though it works 100%.
If it works properly, just close the window and move on.

Not all software is cracked completely so dont blame them as you are using their version.
If you spend money on a RG account or any host, why not spend a few bucks on a well known software.
I very seldom download cracked software, I will look for an open source that does the same.
It is up to you but dont expect miracles with cracked software.
Some work 100% some don't. Bottom line is it is free and take it for what it is.

I understand you are aggravated with your warez version of IDM .
Sometimes you just have to live with it unless you are willing to purchase the software.
You can try different cracked software from different groups but I do not know if you would have any better results.
IDM has been around along time and may be the first one I purchased back in the day probably 15yrs or so ago.
I know my opinion is of no help but I do hope you figure this out.

I definitely would recommend JDownloader 2.

And the bosses opinion always matters LOL

i use jdownloader..only thing thats annoying is it seems they want to push an update every 30 min...other than that works great

Ya that’s is the only prob I have with it. But I don’t take the updates right away, I wait and do it once a week or so.
