Printer Ink costs.

Hi All, I've just been reading a post here about the cost of printer inks and Epson in particular. I wasgoing to add my bit but I see that post section has been closed hence the new post.
I bought a Continuous Ink Supply system about 3 years ago to run on my Eson Stylus Photo R360 and it's been great and running costs very very cheap and the results first class.
The initial outlay for the system cost me £25. For that I got the block of cartridges. the supply system bottles and everything needed to set it up which was easy to do even for a numbskull like me. That initial outlay lasted me for 12 months - and I do a lot of printing - I then purchased a set of top up inks for £9.99 and these lasted me a further 12 months. I also fitted a drain tube to stop all the overflow inks going on to the pads inside the machine so I don't have to worry about the m/c telling me it needs to be cleaned professionaly.
If I was buying a new printer I would not contemplate buying one that could not be fitted out with a Continuous Ink Supply system.

First time I hear of this, but then I don't own a printer. From what I know from reading around, at less than £1 per month it sounds like a top solution, well worth bearing in mind. Who's it made by?

I just checked them out on ebay, they do look good value for money, the cartridges are full.

Branded ones are a ripoff

Hi Katzenfreund, Believe it or not there is nothing on the packaging or instructional leaflets that came with it to say who it is manufactured by.
When I bought mine I had been thinking about it for some time. I looked at the videos ( CISS ) on UTube and read up on the system. decided it was for me and put CISS into E-bay. They came up with the name of a supplier in Manchester UK. Who I have to say are excellent, and took it from there. I have had absolutely not one problem with it, still going strong ( touch wood ) and giving superb results.
