The offshore fortunes of prime ministers, royalty, billionaires, athletes and celebrities are being laid bare in a giant new leak of tax-haven financial records, even bigger than the Panama Papers, revealed today by a global consortium of media outlets.


The leaked files, dubbed the Pandora Papers, show 35 current or former world leaders and more than 300 other public officials around the globe who have held assets in or through tax havens. Former British prime minister Tony Blair, the current prime ministers of the Czech Republic and Kenya, and the king of Jordan have all benefited from the anonymity or tax advantages of their offshore holdings, the records reveal.


The 11.9 million files — consisting of everything from emails to bank statements, incorporation documents and shareholder registries — are from 14 firms that provide offshore services, and were leaked by a confidential source to the Washington-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. The ICIJ has provided access to the files to 150 of its partner news organizations around the world, including CBC/Radio-Canada and the Toronto Star in Canada.

So far, the CBC and the Star have identified the names of at least 500 Canadian citizens or residents in the records.

Thanks for sharing. When it comes to high end society just like the ones mentioned above money is never enough whilst people in third world countries starve is principally wrong especially in 2021. Scarlett Johansson is a recent example having a dummy spit over missing out on money from Black Widow (already paid millions) crying poor she missed out when she is already loaded yet young kids dying of starvation how ironic.

I think one of the things most annoying is the politicians and the "Do as I say, not as I do!" and the fact that most of this is going to end up perfectly "legal" the way the system is setup. The rich looking after the rich. We pay for their life of luxury.

This has been going on for years, people using off shore banking...lewis hamilton (F1 driver) bought a private Jet without paying any tax. Then he bitches about enviromental pollution but he drives a F1 car in circles for hours burning high octane fuel...then jumps in his jet, whilst his car is being transported in a diesel fuelled lorry. I don't think he has any voice in this at all. Worst of all when he was standing on the podum a few months back he did the black panther fist salute. Sides with the blm, when he came from more privilege than I did

Politicians and governments have been funneling money left right and centre....just one example, the foreign aid we send India, gets received by India and then diverted to Pakistan, which a few million on top. its just one massive laundering of money across the world and its the little people that suffer for it.
