The final version of the all-new Opera browser hit Windows and Mac computers today with a fresh look and completely new features.

Dubbed Opera Next 15, the system swapped out its own Presto rendering engine for Google's Chromium engine, in an effort to help webpages load faster "even in the toughest of network conditions," the Norway-based browser maker said recently.

It sports a sleeker, more modern look, as well as the ability to search directly from a newly combined address-and-search bar — just start typing a webpage address or enter a search term to look for suggestions.

The refreshed shortcuts feature known as Speed Dial now allows bookmarks to be gathered in folders and easily filtered; simply drag and drop one entry on top of another to create a folder, or use the new search field to find a specific page you once saved.

Do you intend to try it? What browser do you prefer? Why?
Personally, I’m/was an Opera user because of its feel and security. Of course, I’ll give the new version a fair try. But my preliminary comment is that if Opera users wanted Chromiun, they’d be using Chrome. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

I'm still enjoying the latest Google Chrome. It handles php well, and does what I need, plus it employs the latest html5 video and audio code. Friggen IE doesn't support HTML5 audio, so I have to make IE pages next to my regular browser pages.

Right now i am pretty happy with chrome.. As chrasna said, it handles html5 pretty well and is a very up to date browser. However, i am gonna try the new opera. It might fit well as a secondary browser for me.

I went from Opera years ago to Firefox due to way too much ram usage. Firefox was fine til a few months back it kept on giving errors so now I use Chrome.
